On June 12, Ambassador A. Mammadov attended the memorial complex of the victims of Lidice and laid flowers at the monument to the victims.
In 1942, Nazi Germany massacred hundreds of innocent people in the town of Lidice. Exactly 50 years later, in 1992, the Armenian fascists destroyed the Azerbaijani city of Khojaly and massacred its population.
